April 11 - Ten of Swords

Woe is me.

I was unpleasantly surprised to get the Ten of Swords again after I just drew it last Friday, so I pulled another card for clarification. It was the Two of Pentacles, but the Wheel wanted to come along, so I'm including it in the reading as well.

The message I'm seeing here is of being thrown off balance by an unforseen event and not being able to go back to the way things were before.

A very literal interpretation of this could be a fall or even an accident, especially one involving a bicycle or motorcycle. I don't have one of those, but I know people who do. Hopefully that isn't the case, but even if were, it shouldn't be serious given that neither Death note The Tower came up.

This reading might also apply to my finances. I've been doing a bit of a juggling act, so an unforseen major expense could be potentially catastrophic.

Now I'm just going to cross my fingers and hope for the best.

21 Ways to Read a Tarot Card

Years ago I punhased Mary Greer's 21Ways to Read a Tarot Card, but never actually got around to doing the exercises. Now, with the arrival of my new Steampunk Tarot and the start of this blog, I'm inspired to give it a go.

The first step asks you to draw three cards that would be good for you to work with for the length of time it will take you to complete the exercises and chose one of those three to work with. I got the Wheel of Fortune (big surprise, right?), Ace of Pentacles, and The Moon.

I'm choosing to work with The Moon, because it is another card that has been coming up for me lot lately, and, being a bit more detailed in most decks than the other two, it will probably be more fun to work with.

April 5 - Wheel of Fortune!

The Wheel of Fortune made an appearance again today -- twice, at that! The first time I selected it, I was on the phone, so I had doubts about whether or not my draw was accurate, since I wasn't focused on the cards. So after I hung up, I reshuffled and chose again. And again, I got the Wheel.

Wow, that's really something. I love this card. It usually heralds great things. A few years ago, I drew it as my daily card, then later that day I went to the casino, chose a slot machine that called to me, and viola -- there was my $5,000 jackpot! Of course, the Wheel usually doesn't predict huge jackpots. That particular day, my draw was accompanied by a strong urge to go to the casino. I'm not going there today (though I did play the lottery. just in case).

Something great is on the way, I can feel it!

April 4 - Wheel of Fortune

I have a horrible headache today, so I'll make this short and sweet. There are changes coming. I'm really looking forward to them, because I believe they're going to be very positive changes.
